Strengthening Innovation: The New R&D Tax
Incentive – Strengthening your business and productivity through ICT R&D
In 2012/13, AIIA and Ernst & Young will be conducting
a series of seminars titled "Strengthening Innovation”. In the first of the
series, we explore the new R&D Tax Incentive and in particular, its
application to ICT R&D. If you are investing in ICT development, then join us for an information
seminar to find out how the new R&D Tax Incentive can help you. In association
with AIIA, AusIndustry and Ernst & Young, the information seminar will
involve an interactive presentation where you can discuss the new targeted,
generous and easy to access support for eligible ICT R&D activities with
Ausindustry, while networking with industry peers.
What is the tax
incentive package?
The R&D
Tax Incentive now provides businesses investing in eligible ICT R&D with
generous tax offsets: - 45 per
cent refundable R&D tax offset credits for ICT’s with aggregated turnover
of less than $20 million, equating to 15 cents for every dollar of R&D
expenditure identified; and
- 40 per cent non-refundable R&D Tax offset, equating to 10 cents for every dollar of R&D expenditure identified for all other eligible ICT businesses.
In
recognition that wider benefits are gained where the R&D is undertaken, the
new R&D Tax Incentive has also expanded the general eligibility of access
to foreign-owned companies. Opportunities
for R&D in ICT are only limited by the imagination. All registered
participants will be entitled to a no obligation one-on-one discussion with an
Ernst & Young R&D and Government Incentives specialist by phone or in
person at your offices or Ernst & Young's offices.
Get your project managers, financial controllers,
tax managers, chief information officers involved to find out more and register
