The application of ICT innovation to connect students, teachers and parents
and enable efficient knowledge transfer has been recognised with a
prestigious State iAward at the Victorian ceremony.

CSG was awarded the e-Learning iAward for its Ultranet – The Ultimate
Learning system during a function attended by the Hon Louise Asher MP,
Member for Brighton, the Deputy Leader of the Liberal Party and the Minister
for Innovation, Services and Small Business and the Minister for Tourism and
Major Events, as well a leading Victorian ICT industry figures and
decision-makers.

The Ultranet is an online, student-centred learning environment that
supports high-quality learning and teaching by connecting students, teachers
and parents and enabling efficient knowledge transfer. This knowledge
management framework, enables teachers, parents and students to create,
communicate and collaborate online.

The award for the winner in the e-Learning category was one of 30 awards
presented at the ceremony, 29 iAwards and the Pearcey Entrepreneur award;
these recognise the State’s most innovative companies and individuals.

The Pearcey State Entrepreneur Award for outstanding individuals who have
‘taken a risk and made a difference’ was awarded to Oliver Roydhouse, a
successful media and technology entrepreneur who for the last 10 years has
been Managing Director of Inlink, a company he co-founded. Inlink is now
Australia’s leading digital out-of-home media company and one of the fastest
growing companies in the Australian media sector.

The iAwards is targeted at ‘Australia’s best’ and honours the outstanding
achievements of those exceptional home-grown innovators who have made
exemplary contributions to the ICT industry over the past 12 months.

Following the presentations, the winners across all categories of the State
iAwards will go on to compete against the winners of other State and
Territories for the National iAwards which will be announced at a gala event
in Melbourne on Thursday, 9 August 2012. In addition, many of the 2012
National iAwards winners will then go on to represent Australia against the
best innovators in the Asia-Pacific ICT industry who come together at the
APICTA Awards to be held in Brunei.

Jointly presented by the Australian Computer Society (ACS), Australian
Information Industry Association (AIIA) and Pearcey Foundation the iAwards
celebrates the industry coming together to celebrate the best within its
ranks.
