The Association plays a vital role in representing the Association member companies to the NSW Government, and in assisting NSW-based AIIA member companies achieve business success and growth.

The Association's interests and activities in NSW are undertaken by the AIIA NSW Committee, which is an elected group of representatives from AIIA member companies who work on a voluntary basis to assist the Association and the ICT industry.

Focus of the Association's activities in NSW
The AIIA NSW Committee’s focus is to serve the day-to-day needs of our member companies while remaining consistent with the longer term strategic and policy objectives of the AIIA Board.

Providing AIIA members with business opportunities
The Committee seeks to assist people in AIIA member companies in gaining more business; more customers; more sales; more business leads; more links with potential business partners and investors.

Providing AIIA members with opportunities to influence NSW Government and regulatory agencies
The Committee advises the NSW Government in developing policies and initiatives that will create a better environment to do business here and internationally.

Providing AIIA members with networking opportunities
The Committee assists company managers to be more business aware, more capable of doing their jobs, and contact with a diverse range of people.

Providing AIIA members with business information
The Committee runs activities to help protect and improve the company's business competitiveness and performance through gaining an understanding about underlying economic and business conditions, technology developments, and political-policy environments.

Providing people within our industry with the opportunity to contribute or give back to the industry
The Committee provides the opportunity to contribute or give back to the industry and to influence the well-being and future of the Australian ICT industry in NSW.

Becoming involved in the Association's activities in NSW

People in AIIA member companies are encouraged to be involved in industry issues, and to participate in the AIIA NSW Committee's Programs, groups, forums, special interest groups, seminars, and functions.

In particular, company representatives are welcome to stand for the Committee or to join one of the Committee's groups and participate in the development and advancement of industry policies to improve the business environment for our industry.
