Warren E. Anderson, Group Vice President - Asia Pacific, Gartner Australia
Professional biography:
Warren Anderson has 19 years experience in the Australian ICT Industry. He started his career in an Australian start up in Sydney for six years that was ultimately acquired by Solution 6. He then worked for Fujitsu for five years, starting as account executive and ultimately managing the sales organisation for Fujitsu Multi Vendor Services in Queensland.
Warren joined global technology research and advisory Gartner in 1999, working in various business development and sales management roles including manager of Gartner’s public sector business in Australia for two years.
In 2007, he took over management of Gartner’s business in Australia and New Zealand, creating a vibrant sales culture of excellence throughout the organisation. He was promoted to lead Gartner’s Asia Pacific business in July 2008.
Reasons for nominating and qualities brought to the board: Warren Anderson served on the Queensland AIIA Committee in 2005 and 2006 and is passionate about the Australian ICT sector and technology itself. He is particularly keen to ensure that the AIIA and the broader ICT industry anticipate and contribute to policy that affects it before the fact.
Within Gartner, Warren is recognised globally as an effective leader who gets results. In his role at Gartner, he has access to a wealth of independent research and many of the best thinkers and research in the ICT industry. Warren is a recognised high achiever, and this year represented New Zealand in the ITU Triathlon World Championship.
Born in New Zealand, Warren lives in Brisbane and is married to Samantha Anderson, an Australian goldsmith and designer and has three children and two dogs. |
