Our Belief
AIIA believes that Australia has an opportunity to be a leading user and a substantial supplier of innovative information and communications technologies (ICT) in and to our region and the world.

New South Wales’ prosperity is increasingly governed and enhanced by the products and services of our industry, and industries in NSW are achieving higher growth and productivity through the enabling technological innovations provided by the ICT industry.

Our Objective
To develop a rich base of information and communications technology skills and organisational capability that can be readily identified and applied to stimulate innovation, competitiveness, and prosperity across all industries in New South Wales.

In support of this objective, AIIA is committed to working with Government, businesses and the community to ensure New South Wales has:

1.		A State Government that is a leading force in promoting and using information and communications technology.
		The NSW State Government must take a leading role in promoting and using ICT to stimulate innovation, competitiveness, and prosperity across all industries in New South Wales.
2.		An accessible and adaptable education system that builds and refreshes the ICT skills pools required and satisfies the demands of a dynamic industry.
		A progressive, responsive and adaptable education system is necessary to build and refresh the ICT skills pools required to satisfy the demands of a dynamic industry and a knowledge economy.
3.		A competitive investment and operating environment that encourages ICT investment by Australian and International companies.
		The Government needs to ensure its policy settings create a competitive investment and operating environment in NSW that will encourage ICT investment by Australian and International companies.
4.		Business matching with ICT for NSW prosperity.
		NSW Government agencies and NSW businesses will benefit from ICT services and innovations through business matching services that are promoted, encouraged and supported by the NSW Government.
5.		A cohesive program to ensure regional and rural communities share in the commercial and social benefits of ICT adoption.
		The NSW Government must encourage the adoption of computing and communications facilities by regional businesses and services to maintain local businesses and provide rural employment.
