The iAwards are Australia's ICT industry awards. AIIA runs the iAwards as the Australian member of the Asia-Pacific ICT Awards (APICTA).
AIIA is committed to encouraging and nurturing innovation in the Australian ICT industry. Each year, AIIA stages the industry’s leading ICT awards program, the iAwards, which provides local companies and ICT students with a platform on which to showcase, and in many cases launch, Australia's ICT success stories.
In 2009 more companies than ever have entered the iAwards and the state winners were recently annouced. A full list of the most innovative companies in Australia this year is available online. Winners of the state iAwards went on to compete at for the national awards which were announced at the iAwards gala dinner – the industry’s night of nights.
The gala dinner and innovation showcase were held on the 27th of May at Crown in Melbourne and provided an opportunity to mingle with Australian technology’s best, brightest and most influential figures as we honoured the cutting edge of innovation across the ICT industry.
The innovation showcase, held during the day on the 27th and free for gala dinner attendees, provided industry with the opportunity to see the solutions that competed for honours at the iAwards and to participate in discussion groups on some of the industry's hottest topics.
