Help for participating organisations

Using the ICT: Start Here, Go Anywhere brand to promote ICT study and careers to young people

What we seek

We are asking relevant organisations across Australia to create and undertake activities and advertising to promote and market ICT study and careers under the ICT: Start Here, Go Anywhere brand during the 2008 National ICT Careers Week, 28 July–2 August 2008.

Register your participation

Participating organisations are asked to complete the National ICT Careers Week event register. Responses will be collated into state lists of activities for reference by students, parents, teachers and journalists.

Numerous ICT and HR companies, professional associations, women in IT groups, TAFEs, universities, state and federal government agencies are participating in National ICT Careers Week.

Event ideas

Events and activities already planned include:

  • career days, open days and seminars for career counsellors and HR managers
  • conferences and exhibitions
  • film and animation activities
  • media releases by ministers and industry leaders
  • robot shows

but don't let that limit you.

ICT: Start Here, Go Anywhere brand

The only requirement is for participating organisations to use the ICT: Start Here Go Anywhere brand.

In 2007, the Industry Leadership Group – representing federal and state governments, secondary, tertiary and vocational education providers, ICT and business associations, the ICT research community, and women in ICT – decided that a single brand was needed to present a national presentation of ICT studies and careers to young people.

To use the ICT: Start Here, Go Anywhere brand, your organisation needs to enter a simple conditions of use agreement. You will then be supplied with the ICT: Start Here, Go Anywhere copyright promotional material to use in advertising your event.
