AIIA has issued a formal response to the Senate Select Committee on the National Broadband Network.

AIIA supports the Government's revised national approach to the NBN along with the associated review of the national telecommunications regulatory environment. It will be critical that this revised approach:

• delivers value for money to consumers
• is delivered in line with timetable set by Government
• is based on appropriate access and costing models
• is developed in a manner that avoids the creation of any 'digital divide' between communities that will be eligble for FTTP coverage and those that will not be.
