AIIA's government submissions and issues papers help to shape the ICT business environment in Australia.

AIIA is actively lobbying federal and state governments to:

• adopt and implement the National ICT Contracting Framework to ensure all ICT companies can compete for government work on a level playing field
• ensure broadband is a national priority
• recognise the significance of the ICT industry as a driver of economic growth and prosperity through the ValueICT program
• roll out AIIA's Byteback IT recycling program across the nation

In the past, AIIA has lobbied on a wide range of issues including:

• the computer bounty
• software sales tax
• telecommunications deregulation
• parallel importation
• micro economic reform
• infrastructure reform
• assistance for small-to-medium enterprises.

AIIA actively seeks the views of member companies to ensure our submissions accurately reflect the views of the industry to governments and interested parties. AIIA members are invited to contribute to AIIA's government submissions.
