Professional biography:

I have over 25 years experience in the ICT services sector, internationally and locally. I am currently an AIIA Board member and offer myself for re-election.

As CEO of Fujitsu Australia and New Zealand I have responsibility for managing possibly the broadest range of offerings of any organisation in the Australian IT industry, from consulting, ICT solutions, and managed services to hardware. Fujitsu customers cover the spectrum of government and blue chip customers.

Innovation is at the heart of everything we do. I believe that as an industry we need to be effective in assembling the right solutions for our customers - from industrialising IT to partnerships with both other global and local IT providers.

Increasingly industry players rely on strong partnership networks, across alliance partners, niche regional players and community bodies. Our ability to provide these local players with exposure to major markets is a testament to our success.

It takes committed vision, leadership and knowledge to develop an environment in which the industry can deliver results for our customers.

Reasons for nominating and qualities brought to the board:

I will make a valuable contribution to the AIIA board as a passionate supporter of innovative approaches to key industry issues including:

• Industrialisation - While a significant number of CEOs see IT as a major enabler for growth, there are almost as many who see it as a major inhibitor.  At Fujitsu we are industrialising our service to deliver reliable, flexible IT that operates at reduced cost.
• Sustainability - Our response to climate change is crucial to the sustainability of our industry. Fujitsu have long been engaged in environmental activities that create value for our customers. 
• Strong local partnerships - Our ability to engage with each other, at both a global and local industry level to deliver localised solutions for clients across Australia

A strong response to issues such as these will sustain the growth of our industry. With a new Federal Government it is important that our industry is appropriately represented as policy is implemented. I believe my industry experience and knowledge of these issues, together with my energy and active participation will contribute to the AIIA board.
