What is the Buy Australian Software Windows 7 Catalogue?
The Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA) and Microsoft have partnered to deliver the “Buy Australian Software” initiative to promote the capability of the Australian software industry.
This program allows Australian companies to reach an international audience enabling software export, a key driver for economic growth for the ICT industry.
The first catalogue produced under this program is the Windows 7 Ready Catalogue 2010. The printed version has closed for 2010 but the online version is still open for registration.
AIIA and Microsoft look forward to further campaigns promoting Australian software innovation.

Who can submit software applications for the catalogue?
Listing in the online catalogue is available to Australian ISV’s only – this means that majority ownership of the listing company must be Australian – for products developed by the Australian company.
For the Windows 7 Ready Catalogue the criteria is as follows:
- As a minimum, the ISV must complete a simple Windows 7 Greenlight for product(s) to be included in the software Catalogue. This is available at www.isvappcompat.com (Recommended)
- You may choose to go the next level of global visibility and obtain a higher level of accreditation by being part of the Windows 7 Logo Program. This will further maximise their visibility at msdn.microsoft.com/swlogo (Highly Recommended)
