The AIIA South Australian Council invites you to join us as we celebrate and present outstanding South Australian and Northern Territory Innovation at the 2019 State iAwards Gala Dinner being held at the Adelaide Convention Centre.

You will have the opportunity to mingle and network with the 2019 South Australian and Northern Territory iAwards entrants and to learn more about their digital innovations during the Innovation Showcase.

This is a popular event and tickets sell quickly. Invite your colleagues, potential stakeholders and make the most of this networking event.

Dr Michelle Perugini

CEO, Presagen and CEO and Co-Founder, Life Whisperer

Michelle has a PhD in Medicine and was a stem cell biologist for a decade. She founded her first AI business 10 years ago which was acquired by Ernst and Young in 2015. She is now co-founder and CEO of Presagen which is an AI company that specializes in creating globally scalable image-based medical diagnostics products, using its advanced AI platform. Presagen’s first product is Life Whisperer that uses AI to assist clinicians to select viable embryos in IVF to improve outcomes for couples wanting to have children. Michelle is also a dedicated mentor and advisory board member for many startups, and an Advisory Board Member to the University of South Australia Business School.

Dr Eva Balan-Vnuk

Founder and Chair of HerTechPath, and Executive Director, ICT and Digital Government, Department of the Premier and Cabinet

Eva has had an international career in the technology sector spanning Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia, and as a senior public servant is responsible for providing strategic leadership for and delivery of technology, digital and cyber security services to enable South Australian agencies, citizens and businesses.

Prior to this role, Eva was State Director for Microsoft South Australia, as well as the inaugural National Skills Program Lead to develop and implement Microsoft Australia’s future-ready workforce initiatives. Eva has a PhD in innovation and entrepreneurship from The University of Adelaide, and has key governance and advisory roles within SA Government. She is also a Director for Novita and The History Trust of South Australia.

As our society becomes increasingly reliant on technology, digital and cyber security, Eva champions a user-centered and ethical approach to the application of these enablers. To improve diversity within the sector, Eva is Founder and Chair of HerTechPath, a community of women working in the technology sector in South Australia who deliver briefings to high schools to inspire girls to consider careers in this disruptive, exciting and important sector.

Will Tamblyn

Co-founder and CEO, Voxon Photonics

Will Tamblyn is co-founder and CEO at Voxon Photonics, a company that has created the world’s most advanced 3D Volumetric Displays.

An inventor at heart, Will now has a wide range of responsibilities as CEO, providing strategic direction across a number of core responsibilities, including design, manufacturing, media creation, software specification, R&D and Marketing.

Will now leads a team of engineers, programmers and 3D digital content designers. Will is now spending time focussing on the growth of the business and supporting the CTO in researching and developing new technologies and products.
