The Australian Information Industry Association in collaboration with Engineers Australia have designed a four-part webinar series that addresses mental health and wellness in the current climate of extreme uncertainty and stress.

Themes will include:
- The importance of relationships and trust in effective communications
- Finding the right fit for team members
- Skills and attributes to lead virtual teams
- The role of different communications technologies and media
- How the passage of time will influence the way the team will function
- Recognising the need for flexibility
Following the webinar attendees will be provided with a checklist to help them in setting up new teams or transitioning existing co-located teams to remote working.
Presented by
Dr. Francis Norman
PhD, MSc (Project Management), MICCPM, MAICD, AFIEAust CEngA EngExec
With a 30 year background in major resources engineering projects and almost 40 years in industry, Dr Francis Norman spent the majority of the past decade researching how members of engineering resources projects communicate and interact when working in virtual teams. He completed this research in late 2019 and is now finding that many of his findings are highly transferable to the current environment where so many organisations’ personnel are working from home. Francis is a past president of the WA Division of Engineers Australia as well as current chair of the WA CLM committee. Alongside his PhD he holds a MSc in Project Management and HNC in Industrial Measurement and control.”
